Happy Friday! Today I'm finally getting around to posting some layouts that a created this week. There was a crop over @ Birds of a Feather last weekend and I managed to get 4 layouts done and a card. One of the challenges was to use flowers. Oh I am so not a flower scrapper. Not that I don't like flowers, I just can't scrap with them. But I did it. Couldn't bring myself to put them on a layout but a card was the perfect way to use flowers. Oh, and you use some sparkly gems or what-not in your creation. I threw in 2 little gems. That's it. But I think it came out pretty good for a non flowery scrapper. I love the Elle's Studio papers...which has flowers on it too. Paper with flowers is good. It's the embellishments I struggle with.
Next challenge was to scrap something you love. Something that is not a person or pet. Ok. Done.
On this page, we had to use "I LOVE" in the title. It's been so cold here lately. So when I was going through pictures and came across pool pictures I knew I had to scrap them. I love pool pictures and I miss warm weather. This is what I came up with. Came together pretty quick and the title was so fun to make. Write the title with watercolors, outlined the letters in black, cut them out and voila! (side note: the title does say I LOVE POOL PICTURES. Just in case you didn't notice the strip with "pictures" on it.)
Time for a Dexter page. Love my puppy. Used a sketch challenge (sketch from Page Maps) and came up with this next layout. Had fun with this one!
And the last challenge I scrapped was for a recipe challenge. I used my favorite picture from an anniversary weekend in October. LOVE the papers from Shimelle. I need to order more because the colors and designs are so amazing! I mean I love these colors!!
Thanks Birds of a Feather for the challenges! I had fun! Yesterday I did another challenge but didn't get around to taking a picture. I'll post later!!
Have a great weekend!!
Such a great collection of projects! Challenges are so helpful for getting pages done, aren't they? There's a new linky party at Paper Issues called Enamored with Enamel and any of these with enamel embellishments on them would be perfect to link up. :) http://paperissues.blogspot.com/2015/03/new-issue-enamored-with-enamel-with.html
